What is Central Bank of India PGDBF Course?
The Central Bank of India PGDBF (Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance) Program is a one-year training program designed to recruit and train candidates for the post of Credit Officer (General Banking) – JMGS-I. It includes 9 months of classroom training at a designated institute and 3 months of On-the-Job Training (OJT) at Central Bank of India branches. The course fee is ₹3 to ₹4 lakhs (excluding GST), which can be self-financed or availed through an education loan from the bank. During the training, candidates will receive a stipend of ₹2,500 per month for classroom training and ₹10,000 per month for OJT.
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be appointed as Credit Officers with a salary of ₹48,480 – ₹85,920 per month along with other allowances. The bank offers 100% course fee reimbursement (excluding GST & loan interest) after 5 years of continuous service. Candidates will be on a 2-year probation period after joining. The selection process includes an online exam (objective & descriptive), an interview, and a medical fitness test. If a candidate resigns before completing 5 years, they will not receive any fee reimbursement and must repay any education loan taken.
