Facilities for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (Divyangjan):
- Eligibility for Scribe Assistance:
- Candidates with blindness, locomotor disability (both arms affected – BA), and cerebral palsy can avail the services of a scribe if desired.
- Other categories of persons with benchmark disabilities can avail scribe assistance upon presenting a certificate from the Chief Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution, verifying their physical limitation to write and the necessity of a scribe, as per proforma at Annexure-I. This must be applied for in the online application form and the certificate produced at the time of the examination as per Annexure-II.
- Qualification of Scribe:
- If the post requires a minimum qualification of 10+2, the scribe should have at least a matriculation qualification.
- If the post requires graduation or higher, the scribe should have a matriculate or 10+2 qualification.
- The candidate must submit scribe details at the time of the examination as per Annexure-I, along with a valid ID proof of the scribe in original. A signed photocopy of the ID proof by both the candidate and the scribe will be submitted at the time of examination and subsequent stages as per Annexure-II.
- Restrictions on Scribes:
- The scribe should not be a candidate in the same examination. If detected, the candidature of both the candidate and the scribe will be cancelled.
- Compensatory Time:
- A compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of the examination will be provided to candidates using scribes as per the provisions above.
- Candidates eligible to use scribes but choosing not to avail of the facility will still receive compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour.
- Examination Hall Protocol:
- No attendant other than the scribe for eligible candidates will be allowed inside the examination hall.
- PwD candidates who use the scribe and/or compensatory time must produce relevant documents when requested by the Commission.
